  • Developed partnerships with community and tribal leaders in Goromonzi
  • Held three Census Days to count orphans and vulnerable children and assess needs
  • Conducted Appreciative Inquiry workshops in Goromonzi where committees took on responsibilities for nutrition, healthcare, and education

United States

  • AIDS Orphan Day event held in Corrales, New Mexico with 120 people
  • AIDS Orphan Day event inspired two people to start similar projects in their native African countries
  • Three presentations per month about The Goromonzi Project and the situation in Zimbabwe at schools and churches in New Mexico
  • President and Board Members visited Goromonzi to assess local needs and support
  • Board of Directors held day-long workshop to develop Strategic Plan
  • Hired part-time Project Coordinator to work on strategic planning and operation
